If it is an older wallet, do you think a CBC / padding attack could help?

I believe ANYTHING can be cracked, its just a matter of time, money and effort

It would help to know something about the original password / keyphrase, like length, type of words, country of origin, etc otherwise it will be hard

Hard but possible if one has extra time and money

I wonder if it would be possible to run a cluster of GPUs together to speed up the password / hash cracking process?

Yes, can be done with up to Qty 9+ GPUs at a time on sites like vast.ai. Need to find the best number for your application and start an instance

Depends on the length and content of the password. If not known and using all possible combinations, brute force could take several years.

Perhaps there is a shortcut to speed things up, if something is known about the length or content of the password. Maybe any info is known about the source. Can be any language, etc??

Any updates on whether you had success on cracking this wallet and what methods were used?
